Personal preference on my part. :-) If we're looking for a principle, it could be something along the lines of "Try not to exclude *all* the vowels", which would eliminate Svc too. (SAML is an English-based vocabulary already, but it's nice not to make life too difficult for people for whom English is a second language and who might be puzzled by Svc or Stmt.)
