Subject: RE: [security-services] FW: Any available ECP implementations?
Hi Brian, Yep – I sent out the same request
last fall and the only response was from Sampo (from symlabs) who said their downloadable
product had an ECP client. However, we checked that out and it turned out
it wasn’t part of the downloadable demo version. It was only part
of the for-a-large-fee version of their product. So we ended up hacking up some very
rudimentary unit tests to test with that are somewhat specific to our build
environment and then went to the Liberty IOP dry run hoping for the best. That’s
where we could test with some of the existing certified clients. Perhaps sending
a query on the lap-tech list might get you a better response. I didn’t
try that at the time. Rob Philpott From: Brian Campbell
[mailto:bcampbell@pingidentity.com] I’m guessing most of you are on the
dev list and have already seen this but I thought I’d try anyway… From: Brian Campbell Hello SAML dev’ers, I’m currently implementing IdP and SP server side
support for the ECP SSO profile. I don’t really have time to
develop an actual enhanced client or proxy nor is there any perceived ROI in
doing so other than testing the server side functionality. Also, (L)ECPs
have historically had some behavioral idiosyncrasies that make interoperability
somewhat difficult – so even if I were to develop my own client or proxy,
I wouldn’t necessarily have much confidence that my server would work
with other client or proxy implementations. All that leading up to my question: are there any
freely available enhanced client or proxy implantations available out
there? Or are there any commercial implementations that might be made
available in the name of interoperability? Thx Brian |
