When I consider the needs of
the smart grid, I enision the Service Oriented Grid and the Service Oriented
Buildinginteracting in loose ad hoc couplings through interfaces that are use
to support multiple functions.
In other words, I look to a Service Oriented Architecture. This is quite
different than the way electromechnical systems have traditionally been
controlled and operated. It does, however, enhahance interoperability while
being technology agnostic, and is thereforre a significant help to acheiving
grid interoperability, as well as a common interface for I2g, b2g, h2g, and
v2g.

technology agnostic read...
