Subject: Explanatory Remarks: SOA Reference Model and ReferenceArchitecture URLs
Hi Everyone, The Reference Model is a high level, abstract specification that specifies what the SOA Reference Model is and the components that constitute the model. Using the metaphor of a brick and mortar architecture, the Reference Model defines what needs to be included in a set of blueprints, such as what constitutes a single-family detached residence, like a house, and what constitutes an office building, sports stadium, etc. The Reference Architecture represents the blueprints an architect drafts for a client. Once such a blueprint or Reference Architecture is approved by a client, the blueprints are handed off to the contractor to purchase materials, schedule work, and actually build the structure.
