To me, the word framework suggest something that a reference model is
part of, not that a framework is part of a reference model.  For
example, in UMM, one would utilize various models within a process
defined as part of a framework.  

If others do not see this as a nit I am okay with leaving it.  I just
passed on my first impression.

Urm ... what was wrong with framework?
A framework suggests a piece of scaffold -- something to hold up our  
architecture while it is being constructed :)
