Ken,
I said Joint Action, not Communicative Action. Remember
the former was defined as "the application of intent by two or more participants
(or agents) in order to realize a Real World Effect." So clearly, there is
relevance to RWE.
I'm less enamored with the term Communicative Action and I
think is causing us heartburn. I can see how a consumer's request to
initiate a permissible service action would be embodied in the message that gets
communicated via interaction (or communication or message exchange or whatever
we call it). It's the word "action" appended to "communication" that seems
to be giving us some pain.
