Rex,

I submit that your diagram doesn't serve to clarify anything, and is 
somewhat inapropriate given that our goal is to produce an abstract 
reference model.  Pointing at existing architectural constructs is 
easy.  Capturing the concepts with an eye to the abstract is what we are 
trying to do, and it is surprisingly dificult.
