Well, people will google…and if they see us endorsing appropriate use of
our standard(s), then the vendors win and we’ve proven in a roundabout
way that supporting standards is a good thing. If the paper skews,
misinterprets or disparages our work, we should feel comfortable discussing or

personal opinions regarding vendors and vendor-oriented solutions as this forum
is open to OASIS members, which clearly includes vendors. This is,
afterall, an industry consortia. When it comes time to ask these very
same vendors to ratify our public draft specifications, we will want them on
