Subject: Re: [soa-rm] now we need SOA-RM participation [was: [soa-rm] Public Review of Reference Architecture Foundation for Service Oriented Architecture Version 1.0]
Hi everyone, (Yes, I monitor all TC email lists.) The requirement that someone subscribe to a list and agree to the feedback terms (basically a confirmed opt-in) should not present a significant hurdle to anyone. Most email lists behave in this manner. I hope that no one is recommending subverting the OASIS Policy with regard to the proper channel for feedback. Note that if you take on the responsibility of submitting the comment on someone else's behalf, you are also taking on the responsibility that you have the authority to make that contribution and agreeing to the IPR terms. If you catch wind of any comments, do not forward them to the TC list. Instead, point the person to the 'send a comment' page and have them go through the process. OASIS is only as good and as open as the policies that enforce that openness. Once you have decided that one rule is onerous, how long will the rest stand?
