(i.e. it evaluates to "false") this does not cause a fail outcome. Conversely, if the incompatibility condition associated with a fail outcome is not satisfied (i.e. it evaluates to "false") this does not cause a pass outcome. - A test assertion that has only fail as outcome, is also said a negative test assertion, and leads to negative test cases the goal of which is only to detect failures to verify a specification requirement. If that text remains I think it quite reasonable to expect lots of laughter. If it doesn't fail, it may not pass. If it doesn't pass, it may not have failed. It should be a boolean.
