Subject: Recent changes to wiki version of document
OK, I'd just better list the many recent document (wiki version) changes since the face-to-face: see http://wiki.oasis-open.org/tag/TestAssertionGuidelines?action=diff&rev2=197&rev1=170 1. Glossary becomes an appendix (Appendix A) (other appendices renumbered), as agreed. 2. Scope statement changed as agreed (more open to uses beyond software) 3. Some of the early-drafted wording in section 1 (based on bullet points) made more fluid and here there was some inclusion of material resulting from outcome of the 'weak predicates' discussion - hinting at two modes of TA production/purpose (a. strictly for conformance, b. for testing and less strictly aimed at conformance). [As agreed.] Also I inserted two subsections headers into section 1.2 'Benefits...' splitting it into 'Improving the Specification' and 'Facilitating Conformance Testing' 4. Mini introductions added to subsections in 2.1 'Structure...', as agreed. 5. Many changes to 2.1 short descriptions of elements of TAs and to Glossary entries, as agreed. 6. Mention of 'red button' in examples changed to more appropriately illustrative 'battery holder', as agreed. 7. Footnote added ('[VAR]') where 'conformance profile' first mentioned 8. $2.2.1 'arbitrary decision' changed to 'a matter of judgement', as agreed. 9. Jacques' suggestions which were inline in the wiki text were implemented, unless otherwise agreed at face-to-face. (e.g. in $2.2.2) 10. Editorial wordsmithing: abbreviated words and acronyms such as 'TA' and 'spec' replaced with complete words for clarity. 11. Changes made for my AI to improve flow of text colloquially in 3.4 'Various Normative Sources', e.g. 'in the case of' changed to 'sometimes...', etc. (Adequate?) 12. Major changes to 'Grouping' subsections as agreed - moving 'target categories' to the end of document (becoming 3.9) and splitting tagging into lists and tagging with changes to content of 'lists' and 'tagging' too. 13. As agreed, section on Multiple Specs changed according to Kevin's new content. Here the fact that the examples used tags whereas we would now recommend closed lists was called out by noting this and pointing out that tags in the examples are for clarity only. 14. Note: Specification Versions section awaiting new content. Some mention made in lists section of link between lists and version strategy. 15. David Martson's comment submissions were added to replace 'Variables' section. 16. ADL section removed from Prior Art appendix as agreed but note: still awaiting new content and rewording of Prior Art section. I hope that covers most if not all of the main changes. No new draft as yet ('Coming Soon' hopefully). Anything major from face-to-face agreements I've missed? No diagrams as yet. Best regards -- Stephen D.
