Subject: Re: [tag] Groups - testAssertionMarkupLanguage (testAssertionMarkupLanguageV04a.odt) uploaded

Apologies that I've uploaded this second iteration of the
draft spec in the same day: there were errors and there still
are some so best to see it as conceptual, to see what will
be required in a two part spec for Test Assertions. I would
suggest titles as follows

Test Assertions, Part 1 - Test Assertions Guidelines (doc
now in public review with changes to include normative
language)

Test Assertions, Part 2 - Test Assertion Markup Language

The errors in this second of the two drafts for 2nd Sept 2009
are as follows:

# wrong schema (v0.3 which should be v0.4 - see separate
   schema uploaded for v0.4)

# not all normative language replaced with ISO/IEC Directive

# errors in choice of normative terms in section 3

# conformance clause refers to section 5 but should be
   section 3

# also note - I need to check the new OASIS rules about
whether it is the inline schema or the separate schema which
is authoritive in the case of discrepancies (and possibly
change the conformance clause accordingly, if necessary)

Points to note and assess

# Section 3.3 Reserved Tag Names - one approach to defining
a pattern for applying version tags and property tags (here I've
made them normative - is this what we want?)

# A table showing which markup applies/binds to which aspects
of the guidelines could be added to introduce the markup (in
section 2). How much more might be needed here to map markup
to guidelines?

# There is little included in Part 2 from what we might call Part1;
just the appendix showing a worked example as here the markup
is added. Do we need a version of the glossary too (reworded to
reflect the markup terms and examples)?

# How do we best introduce this specification (section 2)?

Best regards
