[tax] TAX-TC matters

Been away the weekend and the list is still working. Thanks Andy for taking
up the discussion on the OECD schema. I share your thoughts about the
readability of the schema. From the standpoint of open government and the
fact that all inter-agency exchange is based on agreements which are open by
nature, I personally see no harm in publish this schema. Comments from
outside TIES could only enhance the schema, I think.
In an other OECD subcommittee on E-services. Terry Hawes (Inland Revenue,
UK) and Terry Lutes (IRS) were appointed liaison between our OASIS TC and
the OECD. My I ask to my colleagues to take this matter to the OECD
secretariat?

In future we might get this discussion more often. A lot of work is going on
in most of our organisations. To learn from each other and to enhance our
work it must be possible in my mind to share information of projects still
in progress. There are several options to do that without spreading
everything out on the globe. I intend to bring this up in the next
teleconference. Perhaps we decide on the route to take.

Something else. I managed to get a deal with the Dutch XBRL conference
organisers. They have their conference on 19,20 and 21 of may in Amsterdam.
The second day is a so called public day. At that time persons from outside
the XBRL membership may also attend. The public day the 20st is aimed also
at tax matters. For instance the Dutch taxonomy based on IAS standards witch
was completed a few days ago. Our TC is invited to join that day. The
programme is not final yet. So some changes are still possible. All

So please register for the public day. You may register as member. The hotel
information is also available. The special conference rate (limited time
available) is also applicable for TAX-TC OASIS members and is applicable for
both the public day and our own meeting.
On the 21th we can have our face to face meeting in the conference hotel. I
have to work on teleconference possibilities. This might be difficult. XBRL
Netherlands will take care of lunch and refreshments also for the OASIS
meeting.
