Subject: RE: [tax] Groups - Indirect Tax Candidate Reference Model (taxxml-indirect_tax_ref_model-1.0-spec-wd-05.doc) uploaded
Hi John, I took a quick look at this and it looks very comprehensive. If one of the long term goals is to create UBL messages in the future, one of the next steps for this document would be to create a Core Component Technical Spec (CCTS) data model from it. CCTS is very close to UML but is specific to business messages and the UBL library is based on it. I have conflicting meetings during the Indirect Tax calls. If a CCTS model is of interest to the group, please let me know. Document Description: The purpose of this document is to present a model of the information contained within the messages exchanged between the participants involved in a business transaction whose primary purpose is not tax-related, but may be subject to the imposition of an indirect tax. This model is intended to serve as a reference for any effort to structure the related messages (documents) to verify that the indirect tax implications are adequately addressed.
