[tc-announce] Results of voting on OASIS Standards

OASIS members:

I am very pleased to announce that the ebXML Messaging Service
Specification V2.0 has been approved by the OASIS membership as an
OASIS Standard.

Balloting took place from 1 July to 31 July 2002, and the ballots are
available for public inspection at
http://lists.oasis-open.org/archives/tc-voting/200207/maillist.html

Because there was a negative ballot the TC was required to decide how
to handle this ballot; the TC has decided that the issue raised in the
comment accompanying the negative ballot was not significant enough to
prevent the specification from being approved, and that the TC will
address the comment in its future work.

I would like to congratulate and thank the OASIS ebXML Messaging  TC,
chaired by Ian Jones, for their effort in creating this new Standard.
