Specification;

c) Certification by the TC that all schema and XML instances included in the
specification, whether by inclusion or reference, including fragments of such,
are well formed, and that all expressions are valid;

RESPONSE:

The XRI TC certifies that to the best of our knowledge, all XML schemas in the
XRI Resolution 2.0 specification are well formed and valid. Note that while the
specification includes both RelaxNG and XSD schemas for convenience, the RelaxNG
schemas are normative.

*********************
d) A clear English-language summary of the specification;

RESPONSE:

The XRI Resolution 2.0 specification, which is a companion specification to the
XRI Syntax 2.0 specification for abstract structured identifiers, provides a
simple standardized method for performing resource discovery on either HTTP(S)
URIs or XRIs. XRI Resolution 2.0 defines a simple generic XML discovery document
format called XRDS (Extensible Resource Descriptor Sequence), a standard
protocol for requesting XRDS documents using HTTP(S) URIs, and standard protocol
for resolving XRIs using XRDS documents and HTTP(S) URIs. Both generic and
trusted versions of the XRI resolution protocol are defined (the latter using
HTTPS [RFC2818] and/or signed SAML assertions [SAML]). In addition, an HTTP(S)
proxy resolution service is specified both to provide network-based resolution
services and for backwards compatibility with existing HTTP(S) infrastructure.

*********************
e) A statement regarding the relationship of this specification to similar work
of other OASIS TCs or other standards developing organizations;

RESPONSE:

Although XRDS documents bear a conceptual similarity to Uniform Resource
Characteristics (URC) documents as proposed in IETF RFC 1737, the IETF did not
further pursue URC development. To our knowledge no other OASIS TC or SDO has
defined a simple generic XML discovery document format and resolution protocol.

*********************
f) Certification by at least three OASIS member organizations that they are
successfully using the specification;

RESPONSE:

The following OASIS members have submitted certifications of successful usage:

Planetwork, Inc.

XDI.org

*********************
g) The beginning and ending dates of the public review(s), a pointer to the
announcement of the public review(s), and a pointer to an account of each of the
comments/issues raised during the public review period(s), along with its
resolution;

11 April 2008. The vote was unanimously in favor, with 19 of 21 eligible TC
members voting. The ballot is published at:

*********************
i) An account of or pointer to votes and comments received in any earlier
attempts to standardize substantially the same specification, together with the
originating TC's response to each comment;

RESPONSE:

There have been no earlier attempts to standardize this specification.

j) A pointer to the publicly visible comments archive for the originating
TC;

RESPONSE:

not vote in favor of approving the Committee Specification, which report may
include statements regarding why the member voted against the specification or
that the member believes that Substantive Changes were made which have not gone
through public review; or certification by the Chair that no minority reports
exist.

RESPONSE:

No minority reports were submitted.
