Subject: RE: [tgf] Groups - Obama's Wall Street Journal Article

Ted

Thanks very much for this information. I think as we develop our set of
deliverables we will find a place in some of the Committee Notes to
reference this material and indeed we need to make sure that we can show how
our initiative supports the policies and strategies of the White House, the
European Commission and other major public sector bodies. So let's come
back to this a little later in our timetable.

Cheers John,
From our call last week here are the things I offered to share first is the
URL for Obama's article in the Wall Street Journal
http://online.wsj.com/article/SB10001424052748703396604576088272112103698.ht
ml

He also highlighted the issue abstractly in his state of the union speech
last night when he spoke about multi agency jursitiction overlap relative to
Salmon.

Next is a copy of the latest Pic report and finally is a link to a web site
put up by a scientist who has done a huge amount of work in the area of set
theory, ontologies etc (an interesting and colorful bunch of documents) etc
http://97.74.65.174/

I believe these all have some use but exactly what I am uncertain of at
present.

Peter

Shame you couldn't make the call today. Basically folks on the call are
very content with where this is going but would now like to move to the next
stage, that of an outline document that starts to put flesh on the pictures
in the attached. Also this might help with the thorny question of what bits
are to become the Standard and which will be Notes.

Perhaps you and I can have a Skype call on Wednesday to discuss progress
please. We did suggest may be a further call next week or the following
week to review a first cut document but I didn't want to commit you to that
today.

I've raised a few questions in the attached which we might also discuss on a
call on Wed.

John
