Subject: RE: [tgf] OASIS TGF MEETING 13 OCTOBER - PAPERS

Dear all

You’ll see that under the “future products” item of our agenda on Thursday, John has me down to talk about Governance.  Those who joined the last TGF call may recall me saying that CS Transform was preparing a white paper in this area, which we would be prepared to contribute to the TGF process.

This has now been published, and is attached for information.  As you’ll see, it’s focus is on benchmarking the governance processes that governments have put in place around their policies for technology and standards. I trailed some of the headline results during my session on governance at the OASIS Cloud conference yesterday – and in summary, the finding is that there is a lot of good practice out there, but there is a real spread of performance and no single government is employing every element of those good practices.

Like I say, very happy to contribute the framework used in the white paper into the TGF process if the TC finds it helpful.  We can discuss on Thursday.

Best regards,

Chris Parker

Please find attached the agenda and papers for the F2F meeting in Ditton Manor next week.  I’ll post the dial-in number in due course for those not able to get there.

The main agenda item will be to review any comments received during the Public Reviews of the Primer and Pattern Language.  I’ll post the comments nearer to the meeting.  So far none have been received.

Hope to see as many of you as possible next week.

Regards

John Borras
