Subject: RE: [tgf] TGF v2 Review

Thanks to Nig and Mark for their comments.   I do hope other members will find the time to respond before next week's TC meeting so we can get to a stable version asap.  As a minimum I would want to get agreement on the following key aspects of v2:

- do we agree on merging the Channel Management and Customer Management sections into the new Service Management?

- do we agree with the new title of Technology and Digital Asset Management?

- do we want the small thumbnails on each pattern, or at the beginning of each Management section, or not at all?

- can we resolve the various views on terminology used in the document and in particular in the Common Terminology and Reference Model pattern?

- do we agree that all of the material at Appendix D is redundant and can be removed?

- do we agree with the new content added by Chris as a result of his work on the Smart Cities Framework?

I will send out the papers and call numbers for the TC meeting early next week.

Subject: [tgf] TGF v2 Review

Hi All,

I have read the TGF v2 document and think it reads well.

I have a few minor comments (primarily items that have understandably occurred in the large editing session that was undertaken to produce the paper):-

  • The references to ‘city’ or ‘smart city’ need to be removed (there are only around 3 or 4 of these)
  • The duplicated [B1] pattern (on pages 35/36) should be removed
  • There is also some duplicated material in pattern [B8] (page 34) that should also be removed
  • Some of the text in the diagrams in pattern [S1] are hard to read – one diagram has already fixed this by making the text white where there is a blue background).
  • Figures 3 and 4 in [B3} would also benefit from this treatment.
  • There are some broken links e.g. under ‘Linkages’ in [B3] and [S3]
  • [B5] states that it is a key input to [B9]. I suggest that should also be stated in the Linkages section of that pattern.
  • [BR1] refers to [BM8]. This should read [B10]

Regards

Nig
