Subject: [tm-pubsubj-comment] Definition of PSI Set
While reading the Background and Questions page (http://www.oasis-open.org/committees/tm-pubsubj/docs/questions.htm), I encountered the term "PSI Set" which seems to be a mechanism for grouping a set of published subjects having something in common. I wonder if there is a more clear definition of it, and how that is reflected in the current pubsubj.dtd structure. For example, RDDL (Resource Directory Description Language, http://www.openhealth.org/RDDL/) charaterizes a resource in terms of its "Nature" and "Purpose": - Related resources have a nature, a machine-readable label provided by the value of the xlink:role attribute. For example, the nature of an XML Schema designed for use with a namespace would be given as xlink:role="http://www.w3.org/2000/10/XMLSchema". - Related resources may have a purpose, a machine-readable label provided by the value of the xlink:arcrole attribute. The purpose is designed to convey the intended usage of the related resource. For example, two related resources might have natures that indicate they are both schemas, but the purposes might indicate that one is designed to validate the "strict" version of the language, the other the "forgiving" form. So, if one registered a set of natures shown at the RDDL natures page (http://www.openhealth.org/RDDL/natures/) or a set of purposes shown at the RDDL purposes page (http://www.openhealth.org/RDDL/purposes/), could another person publish a PSI Set that contains those registered natures (or purposes) of RDDL resources?
