Subject: [topicmaps-comment] Email line-wrapping etiquette
Sorry to be bringing up something so trivial. I wonder if people could perhaps either hit a return at 80 characters or so, or set their email software to do what people have done manually for over two decades, ie., responsibly handle their line wrapping. A substantial number of messages coming over this list are four or five lines that are four to five *feet* wide, which makes it quite difficult to read, and responding to these messages means people must put line wraps into your text. It's sad that I must send this message out in the year 2001. Many of us had much higher hopes for user software... Murray ...........................................................................
