Subject: [topicmaps-comment] Virus alert: don't open "Hi" messages.
I just received a message titled "Hi" from one of the members of a
list who must have had me in his addressbook, as he is a victim of the
latest virus. The virus contains a screensaver named "goner.scr" and
the message:
> How are you ?
> When I saw this screen saver, I immediately thought about you
> I am in a harry, I promise you will love it!
This is a very fast-spreading virus which does a lot of damage:

This only infects Windows machines so I wasn't in any danger, nor is
this message (running only Solaris and linux).

Ernst Martin comments in 1949, "A certain degree of noise in
writing is required for confidence. Without such noise, the
writer would not know whether the type was actually printing
or not, so he would lose control."
