Tal et al - Definitely contact Dave Kemp, the editor, or Dave Lemire, the OpenC2 secretary. They've been working with Markdown for over a year now and I expect can give you good pointers. Also, I copied Paul. He's been supporting the md work and can probably give you pointers on converting from Word if you need any.
