Comment from: dsleeper@accessvia.com re: Tim Hare's question re: consumer receipt: The National Retail Federation (NRF) administers the Association of Retail Technology Standards (ARTS) which publishes XML standars for retail and one of the first publicly released standards was for the Digital Receipt: http://www.nrf-arts.org/ (select IXRetail from left navi) This was originally a propreitary effort by NCR that has now been handed into the public domain via ARTS. If there's work to be done in this area, it would seem to me that it should simply incorporate that definition as it is already well accepted within the retail constituency.
