Subject: Samples to help small businesses with UBL

Greetings

As UBL progresses with consideration of
a proposed subset to help implementation
taylored to small businesses, I've produced
some example documents based on the UBL
1.0 Small Business Subset (beta). These are
just UBL 1.0 examples with careful
consideration of which elements are
included - a subset of elements (with their
metadata attributes) which should be a sort
of minimal but useful guide to small business
standard UBL 1.0 implementation. The subset
package will then, it is hoped, merely
formalize and perhaps standardize those
selected elements and attributes.

As well as attaching these examples I'm
requesting if anyone can provide other examples
both 1. for comparison of how UBL might be
implemented in various small business scenarios
and 2. for parts or all to be provided in some way to
help other developers implement UBL.
Any examples from regions with different
tax structure to mine (UK) would be a great help.

I'd also be particularly interested in any
finance application requirements or examples
of other existing XML order and invoice files;
anything related to the US/Canada/Australia
and anything from Asia (if in english) and
anything from 'latinic' countries (as distinct
from 'saxonic'). I'm thinking of popular finance
applications if they provide output of XML
invoices and/or orders, etc.

By the way, the attached samples extend the subset
a little to cover the tax registration id (in this case
for a UK VAT registration number). Here a
change would be desirable in the SBS (adding just
two elements) but first it would be good to see how
broad a set of regions the scope of such a change
could cover.

All the best

Stephen Green
