Subject: [ubl-lcsc] [Fwd: Re: reaching out for content]
Please find attached Jon's advice on the issues of extending the participation in the group. -------- Original Message -------- | a. some invited experts (at this stage someone working in the | procurement area) | It has been proposed we invite Mike Adcock (who worked on the CC stuff | at ebXML, but is not an OASIS member) to participate in our next | teleonfernece and maybe in our discussion list. is that permissable and | possible? It's entirely up to the SC whom to include in meetings. That part's not a problem. Feel free to invite him. Sun will be happy to pay for the extra port. But including a non-OASIS member in an OASIS mail list is asking for trouble from OASIS. This isn't about Robert's Rules, it's about OASIS taking in enough from membership fees to stay in operation. Mike should simply buy a membership and have done with it. The annual cost is no more than an ordinary meeting fee. Of course, there's nothing to prevent you from copying Mike on all messages to the list that he might be interested in and then forwarding to the list any relevant messages from him. But it's kind of a pain. | b. we appear to have no liaison with OAG. <snipped> | Do we have other candidate liaisons in the wings? Our plan is to | distribute a draft spec for the ORDER document to these groups in | the week of the face2face. I've asked Dave Connelly several times for a formal liaison from OAG. I'm still working on this. Jon . -- regards tim mcgrath fremantle western australia 6160 phone: +618 93352228 fax: +618 93352142
