Subject: UML naming conventions for XML Schemas

Title: UML naming conventions for XML Schemas

Hello Dave,

if we're talking about named complexTypes and simpleTypes in XML Schema, what is the correct term for this complexTypes and simpleTypes in the conventions of UML class diagrams?

Could we write the following rules?

[R13a] UBL Models must define classes based on UN/CEFACT Basic Business Information Entities and Aggregate Business Information Entities

[R13b] For every class identified in the UBL model, a named complex type MUST be defined.

[R13c] For every class identified in the UBL model, a global element bound to the corresponding complex type MUST be declared.

[R14a] The name of a complex type based on a class must be the name of the object class, with the separators removed and with the "Details" suffix replaced with "Type".

Or can we using "object", "object class", "business object" etc. instead of "class"?

Kind regards,

        Gunther
