Subject: Spanish Invoicing issues.

Hi all,

I’m just developping the mapping between the invoice defined in Spain by the Tax Office and the banks and the UBL 2.0 one. There are legal things that have arised when mapping them and I’d like to know if the same issues exist in other parts of Europe or are just particular for Spain. I have identified three main issues, but maybe I’ll find more than those in the next days:

Place of issue. In Spain is mandatory to define the place of issue of the invoice. We should infere that this is the sender address, but legally it’s another thing.

Withheld taxes. When the seller is a physical person, the buyer acts as the “State” and withhelds taxes to the supplier that afterwards has to settle with the government. Should those “negative” taxes be modelled using the TaxTotal component?

Currency. If the currrency of the invoice is not Euro, then it’s mandatory to state the amounts in the actual currency and in EURO! How is this solved in countries like Sweden or Denmark where there are more than one currency?

Thank you in advance for your time.

Oriol
