Subject: [ubl-tsc] Minutes of Meeting - Thursday, 8 February 2007

Hi all,

Pls find below the MOM for the today’s concall.

MINUTES of UBL-TSC Meeting

1030 – 1130 SGT, Thursday, 8 February 2007

Attendance:

Kama              - UBL TSC Chair

Tim Mcgrath                  - UBL TC Vice-Chair

Item Discussed

1. UBL/UNCEFACT collaboration

- Tim updated that he had attended a concall with CEFACT mgmt group in Jan 2007

- Mike Duran gave a report that was submitted by Dominic, which is in contrast to what Tim reported

- The issue came about since TBG3 was not briefed by the FMG on the engagement with UBL. FMG had previously circulated the plan to FMG members some six months ago but had not obtained any feedback

- FMG will meet this week and an abbreviated plan will be discussed

- For UBL, there is not much more that can be done until the plan has been agreed upon

- Tim will have a follow-up call with FMG later this month on 23 Feb 2007

2. UBL ABIE/ACC library submission to TBG17

- Tim updated that it is in the original plan to submit UBL ABIE/ACC library to TBG17

- The benefit of doing this is to demonstrate to UBL members and UN/CEFACT that UBL is fully CCTS compliant

- There is currently ongoing collaboration work between PSC & TBG1 and there is a possibility that some component may be redundant

- Tim updated that last week, TBG17 had approved TBG1’s BRS for Cross-industry invoice with some change request and TBG1 has to follow up on that

- Martin will use the EDIFIX tool to do the necessary work & export it to TBG17 Excel file format.

- TSC can then review the work and provide the necessary feedback

3. Other matters

- Roberto’s sample BL is discussed. Both Tim & Kama had reviewed the transport library and the movement type mentioned by Roberto is currently not available in the current transport library

- This can be considered for possibly UBL 2.1

- Kama will inform Roberto about this

- Kama asked if there is any plan or timeline for UBL 2.1. If it becomes necessary, then UBL TC must work out the plan and inform all members and the necessary details can be worked out

- This will need to be discussed at the next UBL TC concall meeting

- Kama suggested that we should invite Roberto and Juha to join TSC and participate in TSC’s weekly concall

- If necessary, the timing for TSC’s concall can be revised to accommodate possible participation by Roberto & Juha

Action Item

- Tim/Andy to table the UBL 2.1 item

- Kama to respond to Roberto that the movement type can be considered in UBL 2.1

- Kama to invite Roberto & Juha to join TSC and possibly revise the concall timing
