Subject: Establishing the Chinese Localization Subcommittee (CNLSC)

UBL members,

On 15 October 2003 I alerted you that I would be proposing the
formation of two new UBL subcommittees devoted to localization:

   http://lists.oasis-open.org/archives/ubl/200310/msg00010.html

Rules for the conduct of UBL localization subcommittees have been
proposed:

   http://lists.oasis-open.org/archives/ubl/200311/msg00006.html

The resolution creating the Chinese Localization SC is given
below. If you have no objection to its adoption, do nothing. If
you are a voting member of the UBL TC and you object to the
adoption of this resolution, please register that objection with
mail to the list ubl@lists.oasis-open.org no later than COB 17
November 2003.

The CNLSC is currently recruiting both members and an additional
co-chair. A highly qualified co-chair has already accepted the
position but is still in the process of gaining OASIS membership
for his organization. I am submitting this proposal to you now so
that the organizers of the CNLSC can get started.

Additional members are of course actively solicited for this work
and will be added following our usual rules for technical
subcommittees.

Jon Bosak
Chair, OASIS UBL TC

3. That the chair of the CNLSC shall be Patrick Yee, Senior
