Subject: Schema review

Unfortunately I must miss todays call due to medical issues so here is my input.

I have done a cursory review of the schema today and found multiple deviations from our NDRs. There are modules created (cC parameters) we don't define, there are modules missing (UCTDT), there are empty modules (SDT despite specialised datatypes masquarading as unspecialised or changed CC types), there are elements declared that should not be ( for cct and datatypes), the code list schema modules are imported Directly intothe cbc and cac modules rather than the UCTDT module which I believe causes circituous import issues, the truncation rules are not applied consistently (see the cct supplementary components for an example), and the base types for almost all of the cct supplementary components have been changed in the cctmodule rather than creating specialised datatypes as we previously agreed to. At A minimum I can virtually guarantee that our changes to the CCT module will result in its rejection by CEFACT. This is not a complete list, but just what I discovered in 15 minutes of review. In short, the schema are not conformant, much less ready for approval. At this point I reccomend that the SChema be thoroughly reviewed. And resubmitted. For my part I cannot endorse the Schema in their current form.
