Subject: SV: [ubl] UBL 1.0 SBS permanent absolute web location (urls)

Perhaps it's a mime type problem,
http://www.xml.com/pub/a/2003/03/19/dive-into-xml.html I know it's a common
problem esp. where IE is concerned,

quotes:
"Most current browsers don't handle the application/xhtml+xml MIME type
correctly, so you'll need to make provisions for serving up your XHTML the
old-fashioned way (as text/html) to these browsers. (The list of
non-XHTML-aware browsers includes Internet Explorer 6 for Windows, so it's
not as if you can skip this step.) "

since I would have to go into my VMware and start up Curl to check I figured
I'd just suggest it.

Cheers,
Bryan Rasmussen

Hi Stephen.

If the problem is related to (a) data integrity on the OASIS
web server or (b) server mis-configuration, we may be able
to help.

If it's a matter of XHTML + CSS coding and the varying
levels of support from different browsers (on different
OSs), we probably can't help much.

I did note this on the UBL 2.0 document for review:

"Viewing this Document

Older web browsers such as Internet Explorer may not correctly support the
CSS styles and XHTML markup used for this document. For best results, the
Firefox 1.5 and Opera 8.5 (or later) browsers are recommended."

So I wonder... is the SBS draft borrrowing some of the same XHTML coding
and CSS?

Robin
