I think the challenge is one of “feast or famine.” On the one hand there is not much in the minimal instances but when you turn on the “out of band” there is more there than certainly I can grasp when trying to create an instance. If you feel that what is there now is still workable with out-of-band additions, then I'm confident the issue has been addressed enough that we can continue with discussing the appropriateness of the "using out-of-band stuff" idea with the models as they stand.
