Hi Alan,
I know that we have discussed that all
document references in UBL that reference a document type that is also part
of UBL 2 (like QuotationDocumentReference) should be qualified. Other
documents not part of UBL like Inventory report or contract should use the
unqualified DocumentReference and use the document type code to specify what
kind of document is referenced.
So from my point of view, you should
use the qualified reference. Though there might be a problem if you want to
use QuotationLineReference without knowing the line number (that is
mandatory).

Hi All
I have at question about usage of document
reference i documents. Is
usage described below correct?
In a case
where a customer receives two faxes with quotations for
different goods:
1. A car for sale, 2 Maintanance service for a truck.
The customer
sends a UBL Order to order both items in one UBL Order and
he want to
attach the faxes for reference. The costomer should therefore
attach the
faxes to the order using Order->Orderline->DocumentReference
, in
an appropriate
imageformat.
Order->Orderline->QuotationLineReference->DocumentReference
should NOT
be used since the format I
non-UBL.
