Subject: UOM Codes Re: [ubl] [GC][UM] Additional metadata

So from the latest, now agreed (I hear) version of the CCTS datatypes
http://75.43.29.149:8080/display/ATG/Data+Type+Catalogue+Project
we have built in to them a 'default' of the mainly scientific codes
of 3055. As the CCTS datatypes schema we have in UBL 2.0 states, it
"Defaults to the UN/EDIFACT data element 3055 code list."

So if it is just the default codelist for Quantity, etc does there
exist even the slightest possibility that another could be used, fixing
this.

Otherwise the workaround I've tried using is to default to code EA
for 'each' and maybe recommend that the quantity units be included in
the description. Not ideal of course.

Is there any way to get a free-text quantity field into places where
it matters in UBL 2.x in a way that folk could use instead of this?
