U.S. power is 60 Hz 110-120 VAC. INTERNET ACCESS There is no public internet access from the meeting rooms, but this time we will be trying an experiment to see whether we can provide limited access via a broadband cell phone connection. If this is successful, participants will be able to use the connection for relatively low-bandwidth transfers such as email. Given the uncertainty of the outcome, however, participants should inform their correspondents that they may be cut off from email access during the day. MEALS AND DRINKS Attendees are on their own for meals; dozens of eateries are located within a short walk of the meeting place. A small break room adjacent to the meeting rooms provides coffee and tea along with a refrigerator and a microwave. Espresso is available from a deli located on the ground floor of the building and in a number of locations in the area around Park and 40th. WINE AND CHEESE Our traditional wine-and-cheese party will be held in the main meeting room Thursday afternoon following the closing plenary. NOTE: As current airline security regulations have made it virtually impossible to transport liquids safely, we are sadly discontinuing our tradition of bringing local wines for comparison. Refreshments will be provided by the host.
