MINUTES OF PACIFIC UBL TC MEETING
TUESDAY 17 JUNE 2008

ATTENDANCE

   Jon Bosak (chair)
   G. Ken Holman
   Tim McGrath (vice chair)
   Andy Schoka

STANDING ITEMS

   Additions to the calendar:
      http://ubl.xml.org/events

JB: Will be giving a remote UBL presentation to a workshop
on "XML Standards in Government" at Tshwane University in
      Pretoria Tuesday (17 June).

   Liaison reports

TM: The CEN/ISSS BII Workshop met last week. WG2
(UBL-UN/CEFACT collaboration) have agreed to support the
work with UBL in TBG17 to align the UBL 2.1 library with CCL
08B and have assigned WG2 editor Sven Rasmussen to the
project. This means that when UBL 2.1 is published next
year, all the semantically equivalent components will be
      mapped to 08B.

   Subcommittee report: PSC

TM: As noted last week, the iSURF documents for
collaborative planning, forecasting and replenishment have
been forwarded to the PSC. ENEA also has requirements for
the sales forecast document that will be transmitted to the
      PSC.

   Review of Atlantic call

ACTION (6/3): JB to revise and republish the FIRTG charter
to add "in alignment with UN/CEFACT deliverables."

         Pending.

ADOPTION SC / UBL FOCUS AREA

JB: The interface to Events has been changed to activate past
event removal, eliminate the time begin/end fields, and add a
   "meeting" category.

LOCALIZATION SUBCOMMITTEES

ACTION (6/10): JB to proceed with formation of the German
Localization Subcommittee (DELSC) with Karsten Tolle as chair.

      Pending.

from Latvia indicates that the stylesheets are being used in a
   commercial project there.

UBL WORK SCHEDULE

ACTION (1/8): JB to revise the work schedule spreadsheet.

      Pending.

CUSTOMIZATION GUIDELINES

TM: Created another draft; out to the authors for review. Now

   currently known UBL 2.1 issues.

      Pending.

access; still looking. Going to try to schedule a public
seminar for Friday (as done successfully at TC meetings in
Hong Kong and Singapore). Perhaps one session for
government and one for the public.
