MINUTES OF PACIFIC UBL TC MEETING

eBIF Conference (tim to attend)
CEN (European Committee for Standardization), in collaboration with
Equens, NEN and ECP.NL, is sponsoring the *4^th eBIF Conference, to be
held in Utrecht on 8 and 9 December 2008*. The conference *addresses
eBusiness interoperability practice, showing examples, impacts,
interoperability challenges and some ideas for the future landscape.*

UN/TDED Joint MA (Brussels at WCO, 2008-11-24/25) (tim to attend)
ISO/TC154 Plenary (Brussels at WCO, 2008-11-25/26) (tim to attend)
Liaison reports (incl European Commission meeting preliminary report)
An official outcome statement is being prepared but the meeting appears
to have addressed the concerns of the European Commission about progress
with UN/CEFACT and UBL collaboration. This should enable the BII
Workshop to commence their alignment and convergence tasks as well as
complete their requirements by November 2009.
Subcommittee report: PSC
ENEA (Italy) have submitted a draft of their Sales Order requirements
from comment.
Subcommittee report: TSC
AS: Starting the alignment of Transportations BIEs with CCL08B
Core Components.. Another call has been scheduled for this Thursday and
they will then go on a two-week cycle.
TM: We also need to co-ordinate alignment work with PSC /BII to
ensure we divide up the tasks effectively.
KH: Will be attending an ISO TC 204 (Intelligent Transport
Systems) meeting in Ottawa next month and will try to join TSC calls to
get up to speed with their work.
Review of Atlantic call minutes
No comments.
UBL 2.1 ISSUES LIST
TM: to cull redundant/resolved issues from master list.
AS: The TSC have estbalished their separate issues lists
INTERNATIONAL DATA DICTIONARY
All: To review candidate draft by October 27th (before public review).
UBL WORK SCHEDULE
ACTION (1/8): JB to revise the work schedule spreadsheet.

ADVANCED ELECTRONIC SIGNATURE (XAdES)
TM: It looks like 3 people have nominated. We will hold this over
until next meeting so JB can arrange formalities.
2009 TC MEETING SCHEDULE
19-23 January 2009 in Fremantle

From minutes of 30 September:
"TM: Urgently need to know who will be attending and also
able to present on Friday of the meeting. This
information is needed for a proposal to a prospective
sponsor. It would be particularly valuable for someone
from Europe to speak regarding BII."
20-24 April 2009 (colocated with UN/CEFACT Forum)
ACTION (9/30): TM to arrange possible colocation.
Mike Doran (Chair of UN/CEFACT Forum) is enquiring of the host if
a room is available.
August 2009
JB: MC reports that Balisage 2009 has been scheduled for
10-14 August, which according to our previous agreement
would put the TC plenary at 3-7 August. Is there any reason
it couldn't be held 17-21 August instead?
AS: Have family commitment that week, but could call in.
GKH: No problem with meeting 17-21 August.
JB: Will ask in Atlantic call.
