Subject: Minutes of Pacific UBL TC call 2011.01.31|02.01
MINUTES OF PACIFIC UBL TC MEETING TUESDAY 1 FEBRUARY 2011 ATTENDANCE Jon Bosak (chair) G. Ken Holman Tim McGrath (vice chair) Andy Schoka STANDING ITEMS Additions to the calendar: http://ubl.xml.org/events None. Review of Atlantic call minutes No comments. UBL 2.1 STATUS Security (JB): Materials received; it will take some time to process the documentation. TSC (AS): We have received materials from Audun documenting the two new intermodal freight management doctypes along with updates to the doctypes in PRD1. It's been proposed that the name of one of the PRD1 documents, TransportOperationStatus, be changed to TransportProgressStatus. GKH: Schemas ready this week like PSC? AS: Not likely. JB: Despite what was recorded in the minutes, my impression is that PSC was estimating that the models would be ready for schema generation -- not necessarily that we would have schemas by this week. GKH: Note that I am in the critical path for schema processing and that I will be on leave of absence starting 23 February through the end of March. JB: We hope that the PRD2 schemas can be generated in time for GKH to process them before leaving. MESSAGE ENVELOPE GKH has volunteered to co-chair the task group, but he wants a co-chair to handle business requirements. ACTION: JB to seek a co-chair. TAG STATEMENT OF USE Consideration of a request from the OASIS TAG TC for UBL to issue a statement of use for the Test Assertion Markup Language and the Test Assertions Model for UBL calculation model test assertions. TM: This is a request from the Test Assertions Guidelines (TAG) TC. Recall that Stephen Green has prepared examples of a UBL calculation model using the Test Assertions Markup Language (TAML). The TAG TC have just finalized their specifications; they already have the required three implementation verifications but are seeking further proofs of concept. We are being asked whether TAML is appropriate for business use. Our position is that you can indeed use TAML for this, though we are assuming that the work belongs to customizations. AGREED (pending agreement in the Atlantic call) that the UBL TC finds that TAML is a suitable language for implementers of UBL to use in expressing business constraints. TC CONCALL SCHEDULE Week of 2011.02.07 Regular schedule Week of 2011.02.14 Regular schedule Week of 2011.02.21 Regular schedule Week of 2011.02.28 Regular schedule OTHER BUSINESS GKH: An updated UN Layout Key generator has been uploaded to ubl.xml.org. A number of formatting options have been added, and the UBL XML source can now be embedded in the PDF. Jon Bosak Chair, OASIS UBL TC
