Subject: Fwd: Semantic UBL Transformer

Fellow UBL committee members,

This came up on my radar on Tuesday. It is a hub-based mapping of
semantically-identified business document information items between
different concrete syntaxes. Within days the software was adapted to
support UBL orders and invoices and you can now see in their demo a
mapping of, for example, EDI to UBL, or UBL to xCBL, or others.

Note in the email below that the "demo link" referred to by Bala is
the link I see today is labeled "Codeless Semantic Interoperable
Business Documents" under the "Ready to start?" section on their home page.

Also, the reference to "no user code" is, I believe, that the mapping
currently being done is not interpreting a client's specific business
rules in the transformation. As a demo, this shows that the software
does the basics, and that a "user code layer" on top would ensure the
software meets a client's unique requirements for UBL in an actual deployment.

I know nothing more than what is in the email below. I'm sure Bala
would welcome any questions you may have. I just thought this of
interest to bring to the attention of committee members. Especially
in regard to how the abstract mapping is done based on the semantics
of each of the items.

It is good to see more and more software out there supporting UBL.

. . . . . . . . . Ken
