MINUTES OF THE STOCKHOLM MEETING

    AS: Issues list?

    JB: Understood to be an AI for Arianna.

       ACTION: JB to compile a discussion list of documentation issues in
       preparation for clarification and AI assignment next week.

    PLB: Unresolved issue from Stockholm: bar codes.  Should bar codes be
    part of the business document itself?

       The ensuing discussion briefly touched (inter alia) on (1) whether
       we are talking about the visual appearance of the bar code or the
       information it is intended to convey, or both, and (2) where in the
       document it should be located (on every line item?).  GKH noted
       that some users attach sequentially numbered stick-on bar code
       labels (easily available in preprinted sheets) to documents in
       order to enable electronic tracking, so this is not just about the
       things described by documents but can also be about identifying or
       describing the documents themselves.

       ACTION: PLB to provide some detailed use cases.

UBL 2.1 PRD2 SCHEDULING

    JB: OASIS administration says that work on the CSD will start next
    week, and the PR will likely be announced week after.

       ACTION: JB to send a note to ubl-dev noting the availability of
       the schemas.

UBL 2.1 PRD3 SCHEDULING

    JB: The proposed schedule from the meeting in Stockholm (see above)
    would effectively either render meaningless the meeting currently
    scheduled for the week of 31 October in Kars or require us to add a
    PRD4 cycle following that meeting.  The Editors (JB, TM, GKH) are
    therefore wondering whether it might not be better to move the Kars
    meeting forward.

    GKH: Crane can accommodate the week of 19 September or the week of 3
    October.

    AS: Would prefer 19 September.

    JB: We need to hear from Mavis and others planning to attend.

       ACTION: All members intending to come to the meeting in Kars
       should respond to the list to let us know which of these dates
       would be preferred.

       ACTION: JB to spreadsheet these two alternatives to see whether
       either would better fit our production plan.

UBL NDR WORK

    No news this week.
