Subject: [OASIS Issue Tracker] (UBL-55) Should new Tender Status Inquiry be Tender Status Enquiry
[ https://issues.oasis-open.org/browse/UBL-55?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=64292#comment-64292 ] Ken Holman commented on UBL-55: ------------------------------- I had that thought, but then considered that Pre-award might have already discounted such a naming pair. Perhaps TenderStatus can be unbidden and simply issued without the need for a request. Then it wouldn't be a response if there was no request, but someone needing one could still enquire about the status and get it. It would set a naming precedent for a document type that can be issued with or without a request. But that was just supposition on my part that I was going to bring up at the next Pre-award meeting. Certainly if TenderStatus can only be returned in response to an enquiry, then I would push for the naming pair to be Request/Response. TenderStatus is new in 2.2 so the naming could go either way depending on how the document is being used. > Should new Tender Status Inquiry be Tender Status Enquiry > --------------------------------------------------------- > > Key: UBL-55 > URL: https://issues.oasis-open.org/browse/UBL-55 > Project: OASIS Universal Business Language (UBL) TC > Issue Type: Bug > Components: Documents and business objects > Reporter: Ken Holman > Assignee: Ken Holman > > I think for consistency we need to change the name of this new document type from "Tender Status Inquiry" to be "Tender Status Enquiry". > Please let me know if there are any objections. > An easily overlooked issue ... we are supposed to be using Oxford English. -- This message was sent by Atlassian JIRA (v6.2.2#6258)
