Subject: RE: [uddi-spec] Last call on Discussion for WSDL Best Practice v1 .08
I have an issue with the text in Appendix A that says: "... URIs that refer to resources whose media type is text/XML, the media type of WSDL documents". I would replace "text/XML" with "application/xml". The rationale is that it's more likely that WSDL will be registered as MIME type "application/wsdl+xml" than "text/wsdl+xml" (see the Web Services Description Requirements draft at [1], Requirement R124), given the fact that the type selected for SOAP is already "application/soap+xml". If WSDL is registered as "application/wsdl+xml", talking about WSDL being of MIME type "text/xml" will be inconsistent. I've seen some explanatory discussion on it, but nothing of late, leading me to make a "last call" on any discussion we need to have before calling this item for vote. Unless we hear requests to the contrary, an email vote will begin on Thursday 11/1. Instructions for casting your vote will be posted at that time.
