As for 5 being the number, if you have a six-day week (or a four-day
week) you still have some opportunity to vote within a seven-day
span.  And I'm not forgetting lengthy holidays - I just don't think
we can provide for them in the bylaws.  We could insist on the Truce
of God during August and enforce inactivity during the college 
football bowl season ...

But it seems you're agreeing with my anyway, perhaps against your
better judgement.
