Subject: Re: Advice on good standing for frequent absentees
| I'd like to know if it's appropriate/allowed to kick them off when | they miss 2 out of 3 for any reason. It's certainly appropriate, but I don't think it's allowed. It should be, but it isn't. We copied this part of the process almost verbatim from NCITS (ANSI) rules and inherited what appears to be a bug in their process. Jon Date: Tue, 20 Mar 2001 16:12:11 -0500 From: "Eve L. Some of our members have this attendance pattern: meeting #n: miss meeting #n+1: miss get a warning meeting #n+2: attend meeting #n+3: miss Note that they haven't attended enough meetings to retain good standing going by the 2-out-of-3 rule, but if they show up for meeting #n+4, the rules say they're in good standing. I'd like to know if it's appropriate/allowed to kick them off when they miss 2 out of 3 for any reason.
