Subject: FW: Groups - oasis - Ballot "status value types and optional namespace" has closed

Dear Colleagues,

With respect I have to ask why these two ballots are closing so soon? They
were launched over Easter time which is a holiday period for many people. I
have been away only a few days and yet these ballots have closed before I
had a chance to consider them, which I had intended to do this weekend or
Monday before the call. As only three people voted I think these votes are
not quorate. I suggest the votes are annulled and we re-consider at
Monday's TC meeting - and vote then if that meeting is quorate or launch
another web ballot if not (and this one will not be in a holiday period, but
even so we should consider a two week ballot t make sure that a quorate
result is achieved.

Best Regards Tony

has closed

OASIS Web Services Composite Application Framework (WS-CAF) TC member,

A ballot presented to OASIS Web Services Composite Application Framework
(WS-CAF) TC has closed. The text of this closed ballot is as follows:
---
"status value types and optional namespace"
With reference to Anish's comment about the WS-Context status values:

"44) Section 5.1, page 15: given that the namespace attribute is optional,
what
happens if it is not specified? Are the values specified in the spec
(activity.status.ACTIVE etc) in no-namespace?"

Therefore, with reference to
http://www.w3.org/TR/xmlschema-2/#QName, the proposal is the make status a
QName.

Title: Groups - oasis - Ballot "Specify the duration units of the WS-Context context" has closed

OASIS Web Services Composite Application Framework (WS-CAF) TC member,

A ballot presented to OASIS Web Services Composite Application Framework (WS-CAF) TC has closed.  The text of this closed ballot is as follows:

---
"Specify the duration units of the WS-Context context"
The context has a timeout element that may be used by recipients to determine whether a context they hold is still active. The current specification does not define the units of this attribute.

With reference to http://www.w3.org/TR/xmlschema-2/#isoformats, the proposal is: specify that it is dateTime and in UTC.

- Yes
- No
