WS-Context Implementation and Interop status Three known impls, no progess on interops. Martin: shall we progress even without interops? Eric: some interop was done, and ws-context is being mentioned by other groups. TC Process only requires statements of use from 3 companies so the minimum requirements have been met. Martin, no need to delay. The next stage is to vote whether to go for an OASIS Standard, which is a special majority vote (2/3 yes) run by TC Admin. It would be nice to have the statements of use before requesting TC Admin to set up the Ballot. The relevant clause from the TC Process is: "Certification by at least three OASIS member organizations that they are successfully using the specification" Chairs will request the setup of the ballot in two weeks or immediately after receiving 3 valid statements, whichever is earlier. ACTION: Members to submit statements of use for WS-Context. 4. IPR Transition. Part of the discussion of 3, if we dont transition will terminate end of March. There's not much work left and therefore dont see the need to go beyond March. This does not preclude a new TC being set-up and the CAF specs being contributed under the IPR rules of a new TC. 5. AOB. John: any interest in doing interop as a promotion opportunity for the spec. Eric: will talk inside IONA and will coordinate with John and Mark. Next meeting in two weeks.
