Subject: [OASIS Issue Tracker] Created: (WSCALENDAR-451) Appendix
Appendix -------- Key: WSCALENDAR-451 URL: http://tools.oasis-open.org/issues/browse/WSCALENDAR-451 Project: OASIS Web Services Calendar (WS-Calendar) TC Issue Type: Bug Components: spec Affects Versions: pr02 Reporter: Toby Considine Assignee: Toby Considine This section is a reminder of the difficulties in utilizing a highly improved low criticality calendaring system at a utility / wholesale level. WS calendar, being based on icalendar which is used to schedule meetings, is being proposed for a much more critical utilization. When a scheduled meeting is missed party A may be annoyed that party B didn't meet his commitments. When a scheduled power delivery is missed or improperly delivered, the regional interconnection could fail. Under such circumstances all customers loose power, resulting in massive repair costs and a populace that is signifigantly impacted. The utilization of such a calendaring method which does not address critical infrastructure and security concerns would not contribute to the operation of a safe reliable electric system. -- This message is automatically generated by JIRA. - If you think it was sent incorrectly contact one of the administrators: http://tools.oasis-open.org/issues/secure/Administrators.jspa - For more information on JIRA, see: http://www.atlassian.com/software/jira
