Subject: Wording to describe dependencies between data models & standards
Following last week discussion, here is the link to the presentation by Jay Britton I was mentioning. In particular, have a look to slide 10. I like the idea of putting simple words (along with definition) and a clear schema to specify the dependencies between iCal, xCal, Ws-Calendar… Would be a good complement to the introduction paragraphs where we draw the landscape of Ws-Calendar Using a consistent wording for profiling in the conformance statements would also helps. Maybe a non-normative paragraph/schema explaining how EMIX and EnergyInterop fit in term of dependencies to Ws-Calendar If we are successful in making these dependencies clearer would simplify the effort for people to understand where Ws-Calendar finds its place and why it does not stick to a particular domain, but can be adapted/extended to fit in many domains.
