Subject: [OASIS Issue Tracker] (WSCALENDAR-501) Section 4: Missing clear text indicating the optionalities

    [ https://issues.oasis-open.org/browse/WSCALENDAR-501?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=62445#comment-62445 ]

William Cox commented on WSCALENDAR-501:
----------------------------------------

An application claiming conformance must follow the rules; declaring the rules per the base standard(s) (WS-Calendar, but now MIN and PIM). This is an information model, so I'm not clear on what the received/sending data distinction means.

The second bullet "The UIDs datatype, cast, ordering rules for Intervals within a Stream + Construction of Ids as in 4.3.2" might be useful, but consider that at least a monontonic increasing sequence of "local" UIDs is important.

We have not considered dynamically inserting elements in a stream; deletion seems well founded.
